Hi Schoolmates,

I hope you are all safe and doing well as we navigate through the COVID-19 environment.  As an update, although we did not meet in August as planned, we did award the annual scholarship.  There were only two applicants and the scholarship was awarded to Victoria Brown.

Victoria was class president, FBLA president and ranked #1 in her class with the highest GPA.  She was very active in school and was awarded the UGA Certificate of Merit, DAR Citizenship Award, Band Leadership Award, Best in Percussion Award, and Drumline Captain.  In addition to her high school activites, Victoria was recognized as a Georgia Southern University Scholar and made the President's List at Middle Georgia State University.

Victoria is continuing her education at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a major in Biology and a second major in Architecture.  She hopes to one day become an anesthesiiologist or an architect.

Congratulations to Victoria for her achievements!

Victoria is the granddaughter of James and Mary Colson.
